Search Geological Mysteries Places In Blog

Today I am going to tell you about a mysterious pool which is in India, and it is said that scientists have not been able to find the depth of the water pool till date. Also, he has not been able to find out where the source of water is come from. That is Bhimkund.

 Bhim kund

Bhim kund is a natural water source; Which is located in Bajna village in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh state, India.
Bhim kund and its satellite position (with map link) is given in the image below.

From the local administration to foreign scientists and discovery channels have tried to find the depth of Bhim kund, but no one has been able to measure its depth. It is said under the local residents that "whenever there is a natural disaster in the Asian continent like earthquake, flood, storm, tsunami, it happens, then the water of the pool starts to rise automatically, and the water of this Bhim Kund is very clear".  This means that there is also a flow in this pool, due to which the water has improved cleanly, if there is no flow, then the water starts to get bad smell and quality.  Even today, scientists do not have any answer to the depth of the Kund  and whenever a catastrophe is coming, why does the water level of this Kund  rise?

Anyway, till today, we must  have read all this, but we have to go ahead.

    How did Bhima Kund become?

From my study, it is known that this Bhimkund is a doline. This doline is such a geological structure, which is mainly seen in the area of limestone. Because limestone dissolves easily in water.
Some resistivity method of geophysics techniques have shown that in the area of Bhimkund , even the upper part of the earth's crust is consists of variate  rocks, it also contains limestone. Below The Shale , Sandstone ; at around 60 meters bottom limestone has been found , which is also very thick.
If seen, according to geology, if such a stone completely dissolves in water, a large cave is formed inside the ground, due to which the stones of the upper part are lose support and they are fall  under; Because of which it becomes a hole. And along with the strong currents of water flowing from inside the cave, those loose stones also flow away.  Because of which it looks like a steep vertical cave; Which is filled with water.  At the same time, many small-diameter and high-length caves inside the ground are formed by the reaction of limestone with water;  Through which currents of water flow. After all, either it comes again on the land in the form of river or remains as  source of ground water and stays in the land for many years.
After seeing the same Bhim kund well, it seems that by the same way this Bhim kund has originated. The same process of dissolving the limestone  under the Bhim Kund with water, which started many years ago;  Because of that, large caves in that part of the ground were also built inside the ground, due to which the upper part of the stones were no longer supported and they fell down ; due to which it became a hole. And later felt down stones inside the cave are flows away With flowing water, which led to it was as seen as a vertical cave which became Bhim Kund. such way  Bim kund may originated.

why the strong currents of water flow into the lower part of Bhimkund?  What is the depth of Bhim Kund?  The question has not yet been resolved even properly.

Image showing how the caves below ground are connected with each other & how water is flow from those.

Why do strong currents of water flow into the lower part of Bhim kund?

Along with the Bhim Kunda, a number of small diameter and high-length caves inside the land are formed by the reaction of limestone  with water. Through which the strong currents of water flow, due to that the water of Bhima Kund is also very clean.  And after all, on the far side again, as a river, it must have come over the land, or it has become remain as a huge source of ground water and is flowing in the land for many years.

What is the depth of Bhima Kund?

Many such underground caves connected to each other will also be on the lower part, through which strong currents of water will flow from one to the second and then second to third, due to which we are not able to reach there,  And also we are not able to measure its depth.  And that source is so big that we are not able to practice it even after dehydrating it. That is my scientific estimate.
And now remain about experience of residents who say that if natural disaster like earthquakes, floods, hurricanes,  tsunamis are going to happen,  then the water of the reservoir automatically starts to rise. according to my observations whenever flood and earthquake arising the ground water level is increases or level goes down.  At that time the underground pressure increases,  so where the pressure is less , the water gets pushed  towards (The pressure is lower towards upper part of ground rather than lower  side ; so it is pushed on the same {upper low pressure} side, and that is why the water level rises).  Due to this, even in Bhim kund, when natural catastrophe like earthquakes, floods, tsunamis occur, may the water level will rise.

       This is my scientific guess.
